How To Build Gorou: Best Weapons, Right Artifacts, And Character Showcase.
Gorou is a 4* Geo Bow character releasing in Genshin Impact Version 2.3. Since the character has not been released yet, the information on this page can undergo changes.
Ripping Fang Fletching: Normal Attack: Performs 4 bow shots continuously.
Charged Attack: Shoot a more precise aim shot that will deal more damage. Stone Crystals will gather on the arrowhead while you aim. The arrow will deal Geo Damage when it will be fully charged.
Plunging Attack: Sends in a barrage of arrows in mid-air before falling and attacking the ground herself, dealing AoE damage upon impact.
Inuzuka All-Round Defense: Sets up a General’s War Banner and deals AoE Geo damage.
General’s War Banner
Based on the number of Geo players in the party at the time of casting, provides up to three bonuses to active characters inside the skill’s AoE:
–1 Geo Character: Adds “Standing Firm” which will give a Defense bonus.
–2 Geo Characters: Adds “Impregnable” which will increase resistance to interruption.
–3 Geo Characters: Adds “Crunch” which will give a Geo damage bonus.
At any given time, Gorou can only have one General’s War Banner active on the field. Only 1 General War’s Banner can benefit the characters at a time. The active buff will continue for 2 seconds after a party member departs the field.
Can adjust the location of the skill.
Juuga: Forward Unto Victory: To encourage his comrades, Gorou uses his valor as a general to deal AoE Geo Damage and create a field known as General’s Glory.
The properties of this field are as follows:
-Buffs active characters within the skill’s AoE depending on the number of Geo characters in the party, similar to the General’s War Banner made by Inazuka All-Round Defense. Additionally, the skill moves together with the active character.
-Every 1.5 seconds, one Crystal Collapse is created, dealing AoE Geo damage to one opponent within the skill’s AoE.
-Every 1.5 seconds, 1 elemental shard from the skill’s AoE is pulled to your active character’s position (elemental shards are created by Crystallize reactions).
When Gorou’s ability is used, any General’s War banners that are currently on the field will be destroyed. Additionally, Gorou’s Elemental Skill “Inazuka All-Round Defense” will not create the General’s War Banner for the length of General’s Glory. The effects of General’s Glory will be removed if Gorou falls.
Talent Priority: Inuzuka All-Round Defense > Juuga: Forward Unto Victory > Ripping Fang Fletching
Heedless of the Wind and Weather: All nearby party members’ Defense is boosted by 25% for 12 seconds after using Juuga: Forward Unto Victory.
A Favor Repaid: Based on his Defense, Gorou obtains the following damage bonuses to his attacks:
-Inuzuka All-Round Defense: The damage of this skill is increased by 156% of defense.
-Juuga: Forward Unto Victory: The damage and the Crystal Collapse damage of this skill is increased by 15.6% of defense.
Seeker of Shinies: On the mini-map, shows the location of nearby Inazuma-exclusive resources.
Constellation 1: Rushing Hound: Swift as the Wind
The Cooldown of Gorou’s Inuzaka All-Round Defense is reduced by 2 seconds when characters (other than Gorou) inside the AoE of Gorou’s General’s War Banner or General’s Glory deal Geo damage to opponents. This effect can happen once every 10 seconds.
Constellation 2: Sitting Hound: Steady as a Clock
When a nearby active character receives an Elemental Shard from a Crystallize reaction, General’s Glory’s duration is extended by 1 second. Once every 0.1s, this effect can occur. The maximum extension time is 3 seconds.
Constellation 3: Mauling Hound: Fierce as Fire
Inuzuka All-Round Defense’s level will increase by 3.
Constellation 4: Lapping Hound: Warm as Water
General’s Glory will also heal characters within its AoE by 50% of Gorou’s own Defense every 1.5 seconds when it is in the “Impregnable” or the “Crunch” state.
Constellation 5: Striking Hound: Thunderous Force
Juuga: Forward Unto Victory’s level will increase by 3.
Constellation 6: Valiant Hound: Mountainous Fealty
Increases the CRIT Damage of all nearby party members for 12 seconds after using Inuzaka All-Round Defense or Juuga: Forward Unto Victory, based on the buff level of the skill’s field at the time of use:
-Standing Firm: +10%
This effect does not stack and will use the last instance of this effect that was triggered as a reference.

-4 piece bonus: All party members’ attacks will increase by 20% for 12 seconds after using an elemental burst. This effect cannot stack.

Favonius Warbow: Favonius Warbow is the best weapon for Gorou despite being a 4* bow. It has a decent base attack but has a huge amount of Energy Recharge from its main stat which is good for Gorou since his Element Burst cost is quite high. The weapon’s passive lets you generate White Particles from Crit Hits and these white particles can be used by any character or even Gorou himself making him get his Elemental Burst back quicker.
Elegy for the End– Another good weapon for Gorou is the Elegy for the End because of its high base attack and its main stat which provides energy recharge which is needed by Gorou to use his Burst as quickly as possible. The passive of this weapon gives you Elemental Mastery and increases attack.
Sacrificial Bow: Sacrificial Bow is also a 4* bow and a good weapon for Gorou to use. It has a good base attack (higher than Favonius Warbow) and gives Energy Recharge as its main stat (Not as much as Favonius Warbow) which is important so that you can get Gorou’s burst back up again. Also, the weapon’s passive has a chance to end the cooldown of the elemental skill which is great since it lets you generate more particles and you can use your skill again. With higher refinements, the passive becomes much better.
Ques 1. How much Energy Recharge is good for Gorou?
Ans. Since Gorou’s Elemental Burst cost is quite high, An Energy Recharge above 180 should be good for him to get his burst back quicker.
